Frontierverse

Frontier: Elite 2

Greetings Commander, let me take your greatcoat and boots. You've arrived at Frontierverse, an old starport that's been recently refurbished to better suit the tastes of this century. As a primary source of information on the 1993 cult classic Frontier: Elite 2, Frontierverse has masses of content to aid you as you blast your way through a hostile universe. We are of no particular allegiance, though back in those turbulent times of the early 33rd century we were staunch supporters of Hengist Duval and his Imperial Empire. Those days are behind us, and our neutral colours have been fixed firmly to the hologramatic flagpole. Since we are Independent, we welcome all visitors with open arms, even women and the odd Thargoid. Please feel free to make yourself at home. Enjoy!

If you wish to contact me for any reason, please open up your e-mail client and prefix sharoma.com with robin and the @ symbol.

Donate

This is the shameful part where I ask for your money. Frontierverse has always been 100% advertisement free, and that's how it will always be. However, I pay rather more than I should for hosting costs, especially since the extreme amount of visitors I get leads to high bandwidth usage, forcing me, despite the small size of the site, to pay for a premium package. As futile as it is to ask, donations to my PayPal account would be very welcome and help with my expenses. Frontierverse will always be a free source of information.

Organisation

Frontierverse is organised into five distinct categories, which are then further divided into subsections. Frontierverse contains many text-intensive pages and the intention is to present this as sensibly and coherently as possible. For example, instead of separate areas for all the different game guides, such as help with missions, trading and combat, ship descriptions and the like, a simple 'Guides' area has been set up, and from there each section is accessible. The rest of the content is arranged in such a way. The aim is to provide as much content as possible within a simple and easy-to-use interface.

Site version

For those of you who've been keeping a watchful eye on Frontierverse since the late '90s, this is now Frontierverse Version 5 and replaces the antiquated Versions 4 and 4.5 which dated back to 2001. There are now no further plans to significantly alter the design or layout of the site.
